203 (1043)I was looking at different photo apps and came across ShakeItPhoto. To be honest, I don't know why it bought it, but at the same it seemed like a good idea. Okay, only 1.59 euros, and I think it was probably the special offer of a temporary price of 99 eurocents that did it, but still - it's really only a gimmick.
It mimicks a Polaroid camera in sound, processing and in the looks of the photos. When you've taken a photo, you hear the same sound a Polaroid camera makes in ejecting the photo (quite loudly, too - it certainly got my dog's attention!), and then you shake your iPhone to speed up the processing, like you would shake the Polaroid photo to dry it as quickly as possible. (Although with shaking it, the processing will eventually get done as well.)
The photo has the typical Polaroid look. And besides taking photos with the app, you can also give existing photos a Polaroid look.
But that's it. Oh, and you can send the shots to Facebook, or your e-mail, but that's all there is. No special processing, no filters, nothing else.
Oh well. The pictures do look nice, I have to admit. Here's an example, taken on the beach last weekend:
