115 (2232)It's amazing how a quiet, sleepy holiday cottage can be transformed into a busy hive, full of positive energy and nervous activity, by just two exclamations: "Sunshine, there's sunshine out there!" "A huge expanse of blue in the sky!"
After a drive up to Skye in the rain on Saturday, and a whole Sunday of mist, rain and and gloom, these were very welcome bits of news. People who hadn't showered yet, did so quickly and threw on some clothes. And they all beheld the miracle and had to concede it was true: the sun was out on the Misty Isle!
What to do? Well, not everyone agreed - some said you should see certain locations only at sunset - but in the end almost everyone went to Neist Point, to the lighthouse, and when the positivity had pervaded the whole group, we agreed that on such a good day there was bound to be a sunset and we all just had to go to Elgol.
Below some evidence that we really did get sunshine on Skye today... (excuse the poor processing, I only have some freeware on my laptop).
