Some people are so keen to avoid parking fees that they forget to read signs warning them for the incoming tide. This was certainly an ill-chosen parking spot, don't you think?

We have a similar location here in West Sussex where cars get caught by the rising tide which floods the road

Bosham

Perhaps not by coincidence this is where King Canute attempted to "turn the tide" but failed.

It's quite nice. And interesting - I had a good look at how local residents protect themselves against the rising waters, you can see some very creative solutions! As a Dutchman that sort of thing intrigues me.
