124 (147)We've had a lot of threads on the forum about clicks, comments and critiques in the photo gallery. With regards to comments and critiques, we have come to the conclusion that not everyone welcomes them.
But some do. In fact, some want it so much that they upload to the Critique Gallery. I can understand that. I like to hear people's opinions about my uploads as well.
The thing that I don't understand, is why some of these people who are asking us to critique their photos this way do not respond to comments on their photos.
How are we supposed to know what they think of our suggestions if they don't come back and tell us?
And how is that supposed to motivate us to keep giving (hopefully helpful) critiques?

I agree there Conrad, i always reply to suggestions made as i appreciate it and want them to know so and also know that i listen.Ive been thinking about the very same thing recently and am toying with the idea of only posting photos to the crit section unless they are 'just for fun photos' i do like having clicks but i value comments more, even if they are quite blunt....in fact i think i like the blunt critique even more!
But i also get a bit annoyed if i post a comment on someones photo and they dont reply, but thats probably because im overly polite or so im told!
I think many still upload in the crit gallery by accident
... and then some are impolite ![]()
That's a good point and I'm sure I havn't always taken the time to respond and that gentle reminder is a good one.....so thanks
Helen
