This is one of the images I like best from my windmills photo trip last Saturday (see my blog).

The pony gives the image some life, and balances out the composition, I think.

And there's a very simple answer to your question: once I take that G2 with me, I have no choice, because it's been converted for infrared.

Works well Conrad. Shame the sails weren't pointing into the frame, but I doubt the pony would have appreciated being dragged to a different field. Smile

Exactly, good point about the pony and the sails. I also tried different viewpoints, but I had great difficulty avoiding eyesores and obstructions on almost all sides of the mill, including a busy road.

It's always an effort here - there are very few locations without obstructions and eyesores. The ones for the Dutch Meet had been carefully selected!

Hmmm ... I can feel a new blog post coming on... Smile
