What do you do when you can't find the charger for your camera battery and you see a good photo location? Get out the camera phone and take the shot, obviously! And of course you can't resist playing with it in the Snapseed app...

This is Titchfield Abbey near Fareham in Hampshire, UK. Somehow this version looked more interesting than the colour original with the pretty blue sky.

A stunning image, superbly crafted, processed and very well presented, one of which I admire greatly.

Regards Nathan

Nice shot from a phone and like a snapshot from the past...I was born in Fareham, and going to visit Mum still there, in Sept around 20th my 52nd...Gulp...just don't feel it atm...So will have another go at the old Abby, and there is not that much to shoot there really, but will get into Titchfield more further this time. I hope that you paid a visit to the Fisherman's Rest while you were there, the pub on the left on the way out, as it one of the oldest pubs in the area.

Homesick Chen.

Thank you, Nathan, very kind of you.

Sorry to hear you´re homesick, Chen. (You're about my age, by the way - don't worry about it, you're as old as you feel, or so people will have us believe...)

You're right, there's not much to shoot there, which is why I was happy with tree.

And I put that pub on my list of establishments to take a better look at, I heard it has a very good reputation.
