I didn't want to do exactly the same as the others who uploaded toned tulips the past few weeks. So instead of just toning this one down, I sort of modified the tones, making the tones different instead of just softer. Originally an orange-coloured tulip against a blue sky. Modifications and comments welcome!

Like this very much Conrad. Great idea and love the choice of colours in the frame. Sylv.
Conrad - I love the subtle colours and simple styling of this - its a beautiful image.
I did wonder who it would look in the more traditional "Left to Right" format so have put up a mirrored image - I'm still not sure its an improvement on the original though
Brian
Thanks, all.
Brian, I was wondering who would bring up the subject of having it from left to right. I suppose Im a real European, although Im also an anglophile - I do drive more on the right than on the left, and that seems to have something to do with it, some people claim... Personally I like it from right to left, but I think your mod is equally nice. Thanks.
Conrad
That's me Conrad - always dependable, as I said, I'm not convinced about my mod - but it had to be done! ![]()
Interesting point about driving on the "wrong side of the road" - most, if not all European languages are written & read left to right and top to bottom.
I always understood that this learnt mode of scanning was the argument put forward for the left to right photographic presentation?
What do I know - I just take pictures - LOL
Beautiful colours - nicely manipulated.
Like the original too but this one is more appealing.
Paul
