Nice portrait with very good skin tones and light. Love the expression on his eyes!

I love the coldness of the grey background and his shirt, but I keep getting drawn to the reflections of the softboxes in the eye, which just doesn't look right to me.

A click for the feeling of the portrait, but I like to see more natural looking eyes and this should be a really penetrating portrait.

I know you know what you are doing Dave and this shows through in the quality of the lighting, just doesn't sit quite right for me.

Nice shot.
I personally don't like to see so many catchlights going on in the eyes.

Lovely skin tones and textures. The multiple catchlights are a bit offputting.

Great shot..wonderful tones to it. The reflections in the eyes are a little distracting but not enough to spoil an excellent portrait. (\/)

Good point about the catchlights in the eyes. To be honest, I wasn't sure about them myself! (They were created using a Lastolite Triflector by the way).

I shall remove them forthwith!

Very nice - agree with others about the catchlights. Apart from that the eyes are excellent and you've caught a great expression.
