I know it not a very good picture , each time I look at it I keep thinking it a dorsal fin sticking out above the water , I have enlarged it on my computer and there looks to be a dark patch in front of the protruding item Sad
perhaps it just my wishful thinking after reading numerous reports on sightings near whitby of various sealife

It's probably the boats life saving dingy that has punctured and sunk..............GrinGrinGrinGrin Might of been punctured by some kind of sea-life.........GrinGrinGrin

I once thought I'd photographed a snake in some sand dunes but
somebody later identified it as a lizard I think!

Great shot Gwynn, it always amazes me what we don't see when capturing an image. its more than likely a dolphin as they love swimming along with yachts....
