Apparantly I had the id wrong for this one and it is in fact a male scarce chaser which is a bit of a rarity. I saw quite a number of these along the River Avon between Twyning and Tewkesbury, it is a really good place to see dragon and damselflies, and rare ones like the white legged damselfly can be seen there too
