Taken at the ruin of Brahehus Castle just outside Gränna, which is a town alongside Lake Vättern.
Overlooking the patchwork agricultural land with the lake, the most northern tip of Visingsö and the western shore.
Lake Vättern is the second largest lake in Sweden, very long and very narrow and in parts really deep - over 128m (over 400ft).
From the town Gränna you can take ferries over to the island Visingsö. The island is only 14km long and 3km wide (about 8.5x2miles). The island used to be the seat of the king of Götaland and features in the mini series "Arn, the knight templar" - which was the only way I could convince my daughter to have a day out here.
Thanks for looking.
