I found him, or she, between the dirt on the street. Layed it softly in the palm of my hand and walked the long way home.
My dog looked at me, there was sorrow in my heart.

I get the same sorrow every time i see a roadkill. You have given it another life in this image. Great treatment of a sad event.

Life is very cruel and nature has its own way of controlling things. It's only humans that break nature's rules but it will probably catch up with us in the end.
This looks almost prehistoric. Nice work. Andy

Poignant, brings home the frailties of nature Gilbert, even the tiny thumbnail draws you to the sad spectacle of the poor little creature, such a short life!
