I've not bought it yet, but I've just heard from a fellow photographer that I'm featured in the new issue of 'Digital Photo' magazine on page 5. I'd submitted one of my digitally manipulated images a few weeks ago for the 'It worked for me' section, and I received an email from Adam Atkins, Technical Writer for the mag asking for more info as they were considering it for submission. Fame at last! ![]()
This is my last upload before I jet off to Whitby for a few days, and was taken on the same day in Leeds as my 'Sheaf Tree' and 'High Rise' uploads. This is one of two stainless steel ball sculptures created by Kevin Atherton, entitled 'A Reflective Approach' and represents the Greek myth of Sisyphus, who was condemned to push a boulder up a slope for all eternity. It just begs to be photographed, and often has, and it stands at the end of Clarence Dock which runs alongside the Royal Armouries. V2 is a closer view of the ball, taken from about 2 feet away.
Just seen the GE Award....thanks, Mark, I'm really chuffed!
Techie stuff: see Exif
Single Raw images processed in Adobe Camera Raw, tweaked in Photomatix Pro and Elements 6
Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging.

No matter how hard he pushes that ball never ends up in the dock!
I like your approach in V1, Trev, I have tried an extreme and very detailed close-up once but couldn't be fussed with cloning out all the dead insects afterwards.
Have a great time in Whitby!
Regards
Bill
Hi Trev,
I did see your submission in Digital Photographer of Venice as a jigsaw, will be sending you my book for you'r autograph, congratulations my friend.
Like both of today's uploads but V2 for me for the processing.
Regards
Trev.

Well done Trev for your fame at last! Do you think you ought to submit the mod as your portrait image?
V1 has some interesting people in it...including a normal-looking photographer. V2, however, only has some geezer getting in on the act.![]()
Well done on getting published, Trev. I have to question the choice of Whitby as the first stop on your 2012 turné "How Trev Does It - I Do It My Way" but perhaps the PR bods know what they are doing?

Fame and (no) fortune at last. Nice one Trev. Have a great time in Whitby. Enjoy the f&c (jealous)

Good afternoon, Sir Trevor, congratulations on being published.
I do like this sphere, a photographer's dream, and both your pictures are worth a vote.

Well fame at last Trev, I am sure it is well deserved your work is so worthy of publication and is very inspiring. I like both of these Mrs Woolybill has put this up at some point if I remember right. I think the distorted v2 is great fun and a lovely way to do a self portrait too.
Have fun at Whitby, I will send sunshine![]()
congratulations a well deserved success story and this picture is fab a close contender IMO - have a good break in Whitby
Two great shots Trev ! I really like V2 for the squiggly distorted lines it creates - though I'm not sure I'd like that type of mirror in my bedroom it would certainly tip me towards the body dysmorphic mode a lot of us females seem to be hounded by ![]()
Great news about your published image - I'll look out for it ! It's a great feeling isn't it ?
Jane
Two great images, I like the sculpture - it sure offers lots of opportunities for photos.
