This cricket had such amazing antennae, it looked like he was walking along the dried grass with a tightrope walker's balancing pole!

Wow, even better than your usual high standard Carol. Three beauties.
Very effective composition. limited colours with a gorgeous background and tack sharp. it's nature so it works for me. Regards
I agree with Lynne, these are top drawer. Great images made even better by the lovely bg.
Andy
Amazing contrast of all the three images, Carol. For me the grass looks more attractive than the cricket. -Raja.
a striking set, the vivid blue sky really contrasts so well with the subject excellent work
excellent series, what an acrobat
and the blue sky is superb.
but the he already has the right balancing sticks
3 excellent images Carol, V2 a slight favourite,
Fred.
It stands out so well against the blue sky. Compositionally I like v3 the best but these are three superb images, Carol.
Dave
Stunning captures Carol, equal marks for each.
Regards
Trev.
Superb capture "the tightrope walker" Carol. It has nice lines, angles and triangles. And the antenna is really interesting. Deep
I wonder if his antennae help him keep his balance? They are amazing - nice legs, too!
A real cracking set, Carol, perfectly exposed, especially against that bright blue sky, with superb detail...and think I'm just going to have to part with my UA here...![]()

Sorry no comments today. I was away all morning. Got back early afternoon and had rain like I have never seen before, thunder and Lightening.
My wife is travelling back from Hexham and the bus is over an hour late. The roads are flooded en route and the bus driver decided to turn and try a different route. the bus got stuck on the grass verge and he cannot move it. The traffic is held up in both directions and I cannot get through to pick her up. I am now awaiting the next phone call to find out her whereabouts.
If she doesn't get back soon I just know Know how I will get my tea.......
Angela has just phoned . The bus is now back on the road but is travelling back towards Hexham so she just has not got a clue what is happening.
What an wonderful set these are. Super subject and so well posed by the model. Fabulous. Sylvia
fame at last Carol and very well deserved I might add
Wow carol these shots are out of this world sorry I used my award
mike
I had to wait till I got another award to give to top up your collection ![]()
Outstanding macro photography Carol, the clarity is exceptional and the clear blue sky makes the perfect background. A real pity I can't give you an award for this one as it is one of your very best images and fully deserves all the accolades it has received from your peers on here. You did well to receive one from the Somerset Ciderhead as he does not give these away lightly![]()
