This cricket had such amazing antennae, it looked like he was walking along the dried grass with a tightrope walker's balancing pole!
Wow, even better than your usual high standard Carol. Three beauties.
Very effective composition. limited colours with a gorgeous background and tack sharp. it's nature so it works for me. Regards
Fantastic captures - I love the colours!
Blue sky - it's hard to remember when we last had blue sky!
I agree with Lynne, these are top drawer. Great images made even better by the lovely bg.
Lynne has said exactly what I feel too, Carol: excellent shots, the detail outstanding and with the insect and it's colour coordinated 'perch' set against the blue of the sky, you have three very striking and professional images.
Outstanding closeups Carol ...Bill
Amazing contrast of all the three images, Carol. For me the grass looks more attractive than the cricket. -Raja.
three stunning captures carol fantastic detail brilliant colours and tones v2 is my favourite today but as i said they are all stunners top shots

A rather beautiful trio of macro photographs, which tick all the right boxes for me.
What fantastic and great captures indeed, all very beautiful ,
Very well done,
These three are super Carol! Must have been difficult getting the composition right with all those long wavy bits he has!
Well done you Carol, you've nailed this one good and proper!......Probably in terms of sharpness and clarity one of the best images I've seen you post!!!!

but the he already has the right balancing sticks

It stands out so well against the blue sky. Compositionally I like v3 the best but these are three superb images, Carol.
This has got to be one of your star captures Carol - the detail is amazing.
Pin-sharp and what a wonderful colour combination.
Superb set of shots, and beautiful against that blue sky Carol. Moira
Nicely taken and well composed image Carol,
As others have commented it's probably one of the best ones you've posted.
Love that cloudless blue sky it reminds of some wonderful holidays on the island.
Stunning captures Carol, equal marks for each.
Fantastic against that plain background. Beautifully simple.
Superb set as always, Carol.
3 crackers Carol all UA's well deserved
Superb capture "the tightrope walker" Carol. It has nice lines, angles and triangles. And the antenna is really interesting. Deep
I wonder if his antennae help him keep his balance? They are amazing - nice legs, too! A real cracking set, Carol, perfectly exposed, especially against that bright blue sky, with superb detail...and think I'm just going to have to part with my UA here...
All 3V are excellent colour & detail ,just Great work---------Gary(milky)
Everyone a gem Carol, congrats on your awards
Bet you had to be at lightning speed to get him Carol, a great set and like V2
Sorry no comments today. I was away all morning. Got back early afternoon and had rain like I have never seen before, thunder and Lightening.
My wife is travelling back from Hexham and the bus is over an hour late. The roads are flooded en route and the bus driver decided to turn and try a different route. the bus got stuck on the grass verge and he cannot move it. The traffic is held up in both directions and I cannot get through to pick her up. I am now awaiting the next phone call to find out her whereabouts.
If she doesn't get back soon I just know Know how I will get my tea.......
Angela has just phoned . The bus is now back on the road but is travelling back towards Hexham so she just has not got a clue what is happening.
Great shot and I love the title. It does remind me of watching Nik Wallenda the other day -- tightrope walking across Niagara Falls.
I am so sorry Carol. I meant to post this in my own upload. She got back 2 hours late.and as I said its been a horrible day but the sun is shining now......Sorry about that.
What an wonderful set these are. Super subject and so well posed by the model. Fabulous. Sylvia

'Three Superb, artistic, & beautiful color Macro's,' Carol~~
All 3 are ammmaaazing, Carol.
You've already got 6 well-deserved UAs but hey, what's the harm of one more, eh?
I had to wait till I got another award to give to top up your collection
Outstanding macro photography Carol, the clarity is exceptional and the clear blue sky makes the perfect background. A real pity I can't give you an award for this one as it is one of your very best images and fully deserves all the accolades it has received from your peers on here. You did well to receive one from the Somerset Ciderhead as he does not give these away lightly
Outstanding set Carol. A
looks good against the blue sky. congrats on all those awards.lesley
