A couple of images which I captured yesterday whilst spending a few hours with my Support Worker at Allhallows.

Thank you all so very much for all your wonderful comments and votes following yesterdays upload, with a further mention going to the following: alsopdigitalart (John), Gavin_Duxbury (Gavin), LynneJopyce (Lynne) and Caziwinkles (Carol) for presenting me with their User Awards.

The sun is shining once again, but unfortunately after a rather disturbed night I am somewhat downtrodden and have not got the energy to do much, so a quiet day will suffice.

I hope that you all have a wonderful day, take care and thank you all once again.

Regards Nathan

V1 and V2 are the best, V3 seems to be slightly out of focus, with the foreground rock being a bit sharper than the bird's beak/eye area. Also, bokeh isn't as smooth as one would wish it to be, but that has nothing to do with your skill as such, it's a question of lens characteristics I guess.

Regardless, it's an interesting set of images and I particularly like the subject isolation achieved in V2, with the low POV and shallow depth of field used. Well taken! Definitely my favourite.

I've a lot of respect for these photos Nathan. One of my favourite waders since I was a lad... and getting close enough, even with 500mm of focal length is to be admired.
Version 1 is a 'classic' shot, which I like
Version 2 says more about the bird, I think
I love the colourationof the plumage in Version 3, but agree it is slightly out of focus... But still better than anything I've done.
Nice set Nathan,
regards, Brian

I quite like V2, the bird on the left looked the other way, made it more interesting...sort of birds' social life. I might give the bottom part a bit corp.
BTW, thank you for the MOD, Nathan.

Nice set Nathan and even though V3 is a little soft it still gives great plumage detail. If these had been mine (hah, I wish) I would have cropped out the blurry stones at the bottom of V2. But hey, these are yours not mine and you have every right to be pleased with them.

V1 is a fine image and shows how good the 150/500 Sigma can be when used correctly. The other two shots are spoilt by the other birds. They are pulling the eye from the main bird in each case.

Look how many comments there are here. A good shot, but why don't people comment on other images too?

Great to see you've been out and about Nathan - we know that's great treaty for you.
To capture the turnstone in V1 as you have is wonderful - a bird image any twitcher would be happy with.

V1 is a superb sharp shot using the sigma lens that I own. Many thanks for the advice you gave me on yesterdays upload of the bunting. That lens seems to work best when just below 500mm or if it can be kept completely still
