Taken at a recent visit to Culloden Moor. The Red Flags represent the line of Government troops who brought to an end the Jacobite rising led by Bonnie Prince Charlie. Culloden was the last battle fought on British soil on 16th April 1746, the battle itself only lasted about an hour but was particularly brutal with approx 1500-2000 Jacobite soldiers killed or wounded.
