Chief Petty Officer, retired with a canoe and humorous birds. Well that fits. These are indeed birds of humour. Pirates are known to have parrots on their shoulder. Very interesting and revealing image. TG ex-RCN
Hi Tony,
Thank you for the promotion, but I only made it to E-4 in the Navy.
CPO is my professional title I am a Certified Prosthetist-Orthotist -ie:CPO
I have always had trouble with my mouth -never knowing when to keep it shut. Back in 1962 or 63, I back talked a REAL CPO , WW2 vet. and he wacked me on the ear and booted me on the rear, and said :
"boy with a mouth like that you`ll be lucky to see 21"
Now I`m 67. I bet he`s rolling in his grave-God bless his soul.
You and me both! I spoke out against a first who thought it was fun to nearly swamp Russian fishing vessels. True they have antannea and listen, but that is no reason to do a charge and swerve. I thought it was stupid and said so.
Result; a trumped up charge, but I got a flight out of it and an interesting inside view of our POW prison in Gagetown New Brunswick. We have an excellent professionally run prison with bright and alert guards. Believe it or not. Exercising around the yard in heavy army pack was a tough business, but the whole trip was more interesting than one could imagine. Once is enough though. TG
