Driving in Slovenia early one evening we found a very large abandoned building with just one accessible open window. Peering inside, this room appeared to have been used as a bar and it seemed that at some point in the past work may have been intended but never carried out.
There with a fellow tog, it just goes to show how we see the world differently. For him this was all about the bar on the left, to me it was the windows and crates. It is as taken apart from the crop and the original is at v2.
I would very much appreciate whatever advice you can give on processing this image. Although this is a JPEG I do have the RAW version too.

isnt it great we all have our own view....
I cant help with processing .. but V1 looks great to me
V1 is the one for me. Its an interesting collection of debris. I like the windows, that small green plant trying to grow from the ruins, and the terrific texture and colours on the end wall.
I would think that exclusing any traces of the bar helps, so thats cloned out.
What I dont like is that modern plastic bucket bottom right, so I would remove it.
I have loaded two interpretations of the scene, different crops, and both focus on extracting detail, sharpening, contrast, making the place appear less bright while retaining all details, and giving it an overall colour that suggest an older image.
Just one persons approach, - Im sure you will have more.
Regards
Willie

Thanks, Willie, you make some extremely valid points and have produced two very interesting mods. One to work on, I think.
Hi Sandra
Thats a good scene you found , and a shame you couldn't have jumped in and removed that bucket !
Still , on the exposure side (and if you could re-visit) , it looks a great place to try some HDR , just a three sequence and some exposure fusion afterwards , rather than the falsey halo effect.
I re-mapped the contrast range of your low qual jpeg , so Im sure there's a lot of potential in the raw file to bring out more of the scene in that black negative space.
Maybe try a few lightroom versions and apply some local adjustment using the base image and the original image in p.s.
Slapped a quick mod.
