Ooops Sorry Tim/Chris two versions of this file on my hard drive and loaded the wrong one. That one had a horrible leaf in the background which I did a terrible job of masking, don't know why I even kept the file cos as Tim pointed out I made a right mess of it.

Anyway this is Cheeky the Great Grey owl from the Mid-Wales Falconry Centre.

I wanted a more unusual portrait and decided to go with this viewpoint.

Nice to see a different angle Cheryl. I think it adds something, drawing you to wonder what he's looking at.

A change from 'normal' bird portraits, and it works well. Great idea.

Ha, ha, Ade. I've had to save a long-time for this one. And someone (I think K) moved the bench, so I didn't even know where to leave the money.

Thanks Pete. I have to retire now though. I said 20 ECs or POTW. Perhaps I can create a new user id and just leave this one as a reminder. Wait that'll cost me money.

Thanks all. Just thought that this bird had such a lovely profile that it deserved to be seen/recorded.

Well if it wasn't K it must have been Keithh. Someone moved it.

Or has the location has changed back to the telephone box (if it hasn't been vandalised again by Mattwaggie).

It must be the heat lol.

Cracking profile Cheryl and a nice dark background to contrast the profile against.

Only slight nit would be the top left corner? but can't crop it tighter without breaking the facial disk.

No more posts from me this week. Got to do some work then off for a couple of days and heading up to Keithh country. So I'll need eyes in the back of my head, perhaps I can take Cheeky along for protection.
