Slow shutter speed (relatively) of a chaffinch in flight.

I was in the hide with a competitive photographer and we were trying to see who could go slowest and still get a sharp shot. The optimum speed for me was around 1/80 to 1/100th sec.

This one was taken at 1/100th.

Thanks timjnngs (I am presuming it is Tim, but..) for the UA, most appreciated.

Just a bit of fun really, pushing boundaries of my own photography. Much easier at 1/800th, but the sense of satisfaction with a sharp result at 1/100th is greatly intensified.

Thanks prabhusinha.

I did do some "normal" photography whilst away and will upload a few other the next month or so.

Sadly (though not for the recipient) I have given out my user award for this week. If I hadn't I would have given it to this.
