Another of the more experimental shots.
This time a low vantage point and using the long grass to blur the foreground detail.
Not a very pleasant experience taking this one as the ground was rather wet

Worth getting wet for Cheryl!
Lovely subject, beautifuly framed. Sylvia
It was worth getting wet for.
Aren't you ever tempted to put a second rate shot Cheryl?
you keep on turning out these wonderful images

I thought they are all second rate, Brian.....
Very nice shot.

Good job you're not Pete then
Looks like it was worth getting wet for, but I expect Dan will find something he does not like
What's fascinating for me is that beedy eye and look of the Kestrel.
Haha, didn't notice your award Cole, thanks
ita worth getting wet for,excellent
Well done Cheryl, what a photographer you are.
superb low angle well getting wet for it brilliant Dawn
Nice one Cheryl. I like the Diffused grass in th FG. Like it.
superb great feather detail
Brilliant capture Cheryl, can only aspire to this level. Congrats on EC well deserved.
Simply enchanting - wonderful image.
great shot and very nice comp, love the blurred grass. its a cracker. Shaun
Fantastic.. class and a well deserved EC
worth getting wet for Cheryl, congrats on a well deserved EC
Personally, I would have wet myself to get a shot like this. Very beautiful.
An absolute gem - as if you did not already know.
I was having the mickey taken out of me during this shot as well, which doesn't help concentration. It seems that amongst friends of friends I have a reputation for these blurry foreground shots. Which apparently a particular one of these friends hates
Still never mind! Thanks for the comments.
Well I certainly don't hate them!! Superb capture Cheryl, have a much rarer award than that old EC thing!!
Thanks Glynn and Phil for your awards, so much more exclusive than a Pete award

Just someone I have met a few times on my falconry days. He doesn't attend any more apparently because he hates this style of shot and possibly feels that I set up too many of them! Still you don't have to get down for them if you don't want to
So inspiring! so beautiful!
Oh no! Not another ... er ... rather ... er ... excellent shot! Grmmmph. Hmmm.
Well, there it is, I managed to say it!
Just out of curious: may I know what focal length and aperture you used here?
another EC.... must be bored of them by now
Just for you Cole 280mm.
Not at all Ade, 42 is a good number, even if some of them are currently hidden!
Congrats on the EC! I love the prey's-eye view and the blurred foreground grass.
Excellent shot Cheryl and thorouly deserving of the EC in my opinion. You could always try a right-angled viewer when you don't fancy the ground
Pure class... fabulous
Stunningly stunning. I'm stunned
Beautiful photograph up to your usual high standard
An incredible photograph mate, of a favourite bird of prey of mine.
