LIked the original colour one, but started playing around with selective toning and came up with this.
This is really beautiful, Cheryl. Love it. =)
Haven't seen the original version yet, but I really love this - very well done. *click*
Stunning. The dark leaf is placed perfectly along the vein of the lighter one.
Thanks Carmen and Susie - Susie I haven't posted the colour one yet, I wondered if my description would be confusing.
Malcolm, I hadn't noticed that, so not intentional. I just moved it around until I liked the position.
Simple, but very effective. Makes a change from coloured version and the balance works for me.
YES - love it!
Deserves EC just for being so unusual (as well as for the fact it's superb!)
interesting balance in both color and composition. agree- seen a million green leaves. this shot is different.
-clic and congrats
Oriental subtlety and muted colours make this... I love it
Excellent and well done, deserved EC for simplicity and subtlety, really like this
Wow, thanks everyone and Pete for the EC. As I say started phtographing the coloured leaves, but when I looked at them on the screen it was as has been said something we've all seen before.
I didn't want to desaturate the whole image, so started playing around with toning. Originally the whole image and then using two different tones. Liked the effect so put it up.
Was a difficult choice because I have so many images I want to upload at the moment.
You know now I look at this again, it is reminding me of another image, really weird.
Nice variant from the usual leaf shot we will see plastered across the pages of amatuer magazines, ad nauseum in the coming months.
Great use of their subtle shades.
A 'zen-like' picture. Congratulations on the EC.
Very nice image, simple but effective.
Now this one nearly passed me by without me noticing it.....Glad I've seen it now though!
Cheryl this is wonderful girl, a well deserved EC mate......Ade
Looks like one of those things I've completely forgotten the name of where you put the leaves onto photographic paper and leave it in the sun. I'm sure you know what I mean!
Well done Chezzer!
The Street man returns
I think it's beautiful.
Nice balance of colour and excellent detail and texture.
Beautiful tones Cheryl. I don't know if it was delibrate, but I like the way the point of the dark leaf lines up with the vein on the lighter leaf.
Simple and elegant.
Not entirely Ian, just looked pleasing, but I hadn't noticed the context of why. If you see what I mean.
Thanks everyone for the comments
Great shoot, you really are the EC Queen, fab meeting you Sunday.
Your porfolio is full of amazing pictures, it makes me want to get out and take more pictures, very Inspirational.
Isn't nature beutiful !! you manage to capture that beauty so well in all of your images
You've done it again! I hope i could have an EC just like you do. You got loads! And they are all well deserved!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Oh dear, I miss so many good images but I've got here at last. A super capture yet so simple and effective, well done, good work, I love it. Congratulations on a well deserved EC.
Clever composition, great detail. Well done.
Beautiful composition and tones Cheryl. Congratulations on The EC and now you have an RC as well.
Thanks again everyone. One of my few RCs John, obviously I have a very limited following
A perfect composition and color range.
Sublime - I'd happily hang this in my 5-bedroom oak house....
...when I get it. July 2067.
