Believe it or not there were only about 12 successful dives in 4 mornings.

The benefits of a motor drive and getting between 4 and 8 shots from each lift out of the water - though not all are sharp.

Nice trilling action image. Extremely hard to capture tack sharp an action shot like this throughout. I love it.

Beautiful shot but agree we you and some of the comments that it would have been better with a faster shutter speed to freeze the wing tips but more importantly those water drops. An extremely difficult shot to capture though and my congratulations go out to you.

Thanks all.

Personally Ian I prefer movement in the wing tips as otherwise the bird look like a cut out. You'll notice that very few of my inflight shots don't have movement in the wings.

I am no authority on this sort of image but IMHO this is a top shot, perfectly timed and I feel you have the technique for this sort of shot down to a "T".
