This was taken just before the Posing shot that was last weeks POTW.
Just can't resist the squirrel in snow shots.

Great image! I like this one better.
beautiful shot, all the better for the snow fall
Quote: last weeks POTW.
soooooooooooooooooooooooo last week!
Another cracker, Cheryl, can see this being next week's
Nice to be neighbours today, too
Agree with Fran lol!!
Stunning capture again
Another fantastic shot!
This is better than the POTW in my view.
Ha, ha, thanks all.
You'll be pleased to know that I have another 5 or 600 squirrel shots to wade my way through.
Funnily enough I prefer this one and only uploaded the posing shot because of the light on the underside of the squirrel.
Doubt it will get near the lofty heights of 195 votes though.
better than excellent Cheryl
Why resist such a great shot?
Lovely shot Cheryl. I'm surprised you didn't crop or clone out the stems just intruding into both the right and the left though
Love the bit of snow on his head...
A picture book image! Well composed & well taken.
Thought about cropping Barrie, but as it was literally taken at the same time, same squirrel as previous shot it would have been obvious.
If I were to print it then I probably would.
I could be uploading squirrel shots until next year and not repeat an image, but I won't!
Will uploaded some more cresties or woodpeckers.
Go on Cheryl - fill the gallery with Squirrels drive 'em nuts (sorry!).
Push out all those nasty landscapy things
Well at least it is not a robin, of which I also have plenty of material from the break in Scotland.
So just to break the squirrel monopoly, or is that monotony, I shall upload a robin next.
This is a great shot. I am always surprised at just how limited the DoF can be when using longer focal lengths, and you have used it to great effect here.
Stunningly beautiful shot - the best I have seen in ages
Great shot, next years Christmas card for sure!

There's a queue of shots to be next years Christmas Card Maybe use this one for ePZ.
Really will stop posting the squirrels for a bit, but I just can't resist them, after all it was my third or fourth time hoping for squirrels in the snow, so I may have gotten a bit trigger happy when the event finally happened.
Stunning series of shots. Gorgeous.
Well, I can't get enough of 'em so I really hope that you post some more. There's something very special about this series of photos. I love them. =)
Very lovely indeed.
STUNNING.....Lovely image, brill detail, well done.
V2 does remove the slight distractions.. Nice image
( I will upload a red squirrel next then )
Stunning result yet again. Sylvia
Oh, not another squirrel! Oh well. I suppose it could have been worse - it could have been a robin!
very special this one love the wider view of the scene rather than a closeup. brilliant detail.
Absolutely beautiful shot.
Excellent capture. Congrats on the HC!
Wonderful capture - I'd be chuffed to bits to get this.
Stunning work, love how youve done it.
You've got your squirrel PA, Cheryl, so isn't it time to stop exploiting the poor wee beasties and move on?
OK, nice shot and all that. But still....

That's like saying to you don't upload a landscape. You upload a squirrel shot and I'll upload a portrait!
red rat in the snow is to cliche.

Petty jealousy will get you nowhere! ps. I think you either meant so cliche or too cliched!

Best one so far Cheryl.. love it v1 or v2
'Tis a cracker!
Faberoony. I love how the light is being reflected up onto his fur.

Very nice shot Cheryl.

Oooh ark at her!! The green eyed monster making a brief appearance I fear!! Lol!
What to add? pleased to take this to 100th Cheryl and congrat's for your HC - well deserved!
Love it....congrats on the HC Cheryl.
Thanks for the UAs Jandy and Jayjay52.
Did you enter this image into the Countryfile competition? We were just watching them reviewing the images and one that was shown was very similiar to this.
That's why I was looking at it as well, thought I'd seen it on here.
Very nice Cheryl. Gets my vote!!
Yes it is this one and the one that they showed at the start of the selection process. I only entered the two so that was good coverage.
well done you:: Pete give it a EC now
CONGRATULATIONS, It was great to see your image getting first place in the country file competition.
