This is just ace Cheryl.
Great shot of a red squirrel. Not sure about the thick black border though, a bit distracting.
Really like your portfolio. Excellent
Great shot,well captured.
Another beauty......lovely pose and composition.
Lovely work - very clean composition.
Great image stunning detail!!
Topcat, just a style of border I am using on all my images this year. Decided to change it slightly from the style I employed last year. It's of no great importance in it's own right, just that many images struggle at 1000px even with 350kb to retain a high enough save percent. Too much detail in all that fur, so it just tidies up the 100px margin.
Expect in a few months it could change again.
Beautiful composition really makes this stand out from the crowd. Well done on the EC.
Great shot of a lovely animal - so much nicer than them grey ones
well done Cheryl
Congrats on the EC, Cheryl
Fine composition and a deserved award of the EC.
Is there some squirrelplague no one's told me about...? I see their pictures everywhere, but I won't manage to find a real one...
NIW: This shot is very beautiful and eyecatching!
Thrumeye, red squirrels are quite sparse. They can be found at Brownsea in Dorset, on the Isle of Wight, Formby (Liverpool ish) and in various locations in Scotland. Certainly for most of us they aren't available in the local park, unlike the drab, boring greys. Not serious about the greys, always enjoyed photographing them until I got close to a red, then the greys just aren't up to standard any more.
Congrats on the EC Cheryl well presented and a great shot.
Well I suppose I'll have to let you off with this one!! so apologies accepted..
Well done Cheryl,lovely work!
Superb (well desrved EC!!)
Great dof control, excellent clarity.
Thankyou for your forgiveness and understanding Janet, I will not post any more squirrels for at least a week. And I promise as soon as Autumn returns we will organise to go to Formby for a couple of days.
I LOVE the picture....really good.
Simply excellent! Not much of a critique but I can't think of a way to improve it.
Wonderful shot with a great dof!
Had to take a peek after seeing some comments on your HC...as aperson who spends ages wandering around trying to get natural shots..I understand what the other person is saying[if very badly]...however your portfolio is amazing some superb work and I would be over the moon to have captured some of your images...So congrats on the HCs well deserved.
Fantastic. So beautiful. well done.
It's all down to whats a pleasing image,to me your images are very pleasing, you will always get people who enjoy putting people down for the ''fun'' of it,your work and attention it gets will speak for itself, keep on shooting
