Shot on a very large Bench just beofre sunset with the sun behind. Flash to the front with grid. Processed in CS3.
Has the look of a still from an old Hitchcock movie. Light and comp are very good, especially the strong background diagonals. I think we could argue about the crop on the right ..... I'm not keen on the way you've edged out her elbow. I'd either go for a slightly more expansive crop to include all the elbow, or a slightly more severe crop to come nearer to the hand.
Niggle apart I like this very much indeed Dan.
Excellent lighting. Great pose.
Great portrait and well lit
quite cinematographic. like a still from a bigger story.
Lighting is really special on this and agree with others on the Hitchcock and cinematic comments, nice one Dan.

Yep i have to agree.
Stunning light on this image, everything hangs together well.
Thanks for the comments and clicks .. and a big thanks for the User Awards. Something it's always really good to pick up!
superb shot Dan, would love to understand lighting and flash in the way you use it, but don't have the brain or the kit. Great work mate
26 votes??? We need a firing squad, a wall and a lot of members in front of it in the blindfolds they are obviously already wearing. Stunning!
To be really special this could just do with an out of focus dragonfly or an artfully arranged gerbera.
Pay attention Dan ......
Like the lighting and tones in this Dan - Regards Richard.
Shortlisted, good use of lighting and agree it does have an old movie feel.
Thanks for yet another award Paul .. certanly much appreciated and glad you like this style of shot. It's a style Im offering for portraits currently so its good to receive positive feedback
