Taken last evening at 20:10, Tornado heads south back to Kings X.

Light was fading by this time, so used ISO 2,500 / 500th sec @ f5.6.

love the steam coming out of the engine Nick. Im probably doing something wrong, but whenever I use anything above 1000ISO all I get is noise and yet your image is pristine. Very well taken Smile

The pic was taken in RAW and in manual mode. Auto exposure can often become confused, so I take a reading from the area and then a couple of test shots. Same applies with aircraft, which can be a nightmare. The 5D2 is good for noise, compared with the 5D1 but it's still there and both CS5 and Lightroom 3 now possess enhanced noise reduction without losing too much detail. The sharpening facility is now better with the ability to mask the effect.
