I've just got a new camera and tested it on the daffodils that have just started flowering in my kitchen.

You'll be really pleased with the new camera. I like the colour of your daffodil and your DOF is very good but I do think that this shot would benefit from a crop to get rid of the distraction on the left hand side.

Thanks Fran - your feedback is really useful - I was in two minds about that left hand side because I liked the "curtain" effect, but good to hear you found it distracting.
