Upgrade to e2 to browse all photos automatically at their largest size.A seasonal selection of 15 shots from my trip around Saltaire with Barbara Hirst last Wednesday, starting with the lovely Lion that guards one of the gateposts at the entry of Victoria hall. I have chosen him because this image clearly identifies this series as Saltaire. I love the way that the Autumn leaves are framing him and the fact that he is completely un-phased by the fallen leaf nestling in his groin! The weather was rubbish - grey, grim and drizzly - but it was a fascinating afternoon in good company and I got loads of photographs.
The rest of the series is about Autumn foliage and the effects I got by applying various effects to the originals. For the most part I have put the original first then the processed images after it. I confess I rather like the painted effects I got from using Topaz Simplify, but I leave judgement down to you. We are all different and we all like different things, which is what makes this site so interesting.
Anyway, thanks for looking and I hope you like at least some of them.

When I first looked there were 6 versions and then a few moments later 15 so we are spoiled for choice today.
I like V 1 for the reasons you give, then when it comes to the rest I could not pick a winner........the set shows off the richness and beauty of the autumn foliage so well.
So this lot will need to share my single available vote, Lynne.
Ronnie.
Very impressive, Lynne - as always
Thank you - a treat to view
Wonderful set of images which must have given you
great pleasure to do.
Difficult to choose an outright winner, but I especially liked V6, 8, 9 and 12.
I preferred those without text.
I loved the varied shaded borders.
Is that done with Topaz or can that be done
in Photoshop?
Good work Lynne.

whoah!!! you captured what I couldnt that day
I really find V2 special thats for a vote
But all your images have been so well worked
Heh !!! The chilli jam really is exceptional .. I realise why you keep the recipe a secret now...
Thankyou for a great day
I like them all... took a long time to load but since you promised a bit of simplify I thought I'd wait for the large versions.
4 and 8 and the last one are my favourites!
Excellent varied set Lynne, the changes you have made are subtle so not altering the originals to much, the colours are awesome! So equal marks.
Regards
Trev.
It looks like Mother nature is playing Holi (Indian color festival). An app set to remember Autumn.
Wonderful autumn colours captured here, Lynne
Like the angle in V1, looking upwards - were you lion on your back on the ground?! ![]()

I agree with you Lynne about the site and with us being all different. There is such a variety of images to be seen here and it would be very boring if everyone uploaded just rust for example ? Even I would get bored with that and would probably go out and photograph sheep.OK,perhaps I would not go that far.I suppose seeing leggy blondes everyday would get boring too.Kinda like my macaronni and cheese the wife makes me.I made the mistake of telling her I like it and she would make me it everyday if she got away with it.Mind you, some of the legs I have seen on my blondes have looked like macaronni !!
Mick.
I was going to buy simplify but how to get the best out of it might be a problem, did you go on one of the tutes Lynne?
Great set V1 a good choice for the lead photo
Beautiful set,Lynne. I quite V1, I like the POV, and colour contrast and clarity are excellent. The rest of the images are different style. 2 to 5+10 are beautifully designed and very artistic; the rest of them are excellently taken, with wonderful color and clarity. I'm also looking forward to seeing more of your Saltaire's images...great work.
I agree with Ronnie.... My favorite is v1. I too love how the leaves frame the lion, but I also love the colour grouping.
A lovely Autumn set Lynne, love Mr Lion. The Topaz effect and framing is excellent.
Ruth

Wonderful set of images, all beautifully captured and presented.

A wonderful set of autumn colour lynne.
I think simplify has worked very well especially on V8.
I sometimes mix a little simplify in to my images, for example the foliage and brickwork in This shot
David
I like your leading image, Lynne, but have also enjoyed the array of autumn colours. I can certainly see how the processing improves the images.
What a marvellous array of glorious autumnal colours in this series Lynne. I like the grumpy looking lion in v1, he reminds me very much of my good friend and fellow epzer AdeOsman!![]()
