I was taking shots with the camera on a tripod, quite low down, near where the waves were coming in. Suddenly, one wave came a bit further than any previous ones, and washed around the legs of the tripod, directly below the camera. I was almost lying on the beach at the time and just managed to roll away from the wave in time to avoid getting soaked. I was using the self-timer with a 2 second delay, so I had already pressed the shutter button before the wave reached this point.
