Not been around for sometime yet again, have been tied up with various things, mostly personal, so my sincere apologies for my lack of activity here.
Visited my local patch thismorning in the hope that the bee orchids were still in a reasonable condition. They weren't too bad I don't think? These are one of the most difficult flowers to photograph I have found, especially when the wind kept blowing them!!
Anyway this is stacked using 4 images, and a greenfly cloned out

Simply beautiful, the detail and colours are first class. I've seen these growing on the limestone grassland of Rodborough Common in Stroud
