Firecrest- Regulus ignicapillus
Went to my local reserve today as you never know what might appear. Whilst chasing a goldcrest this little one turned up! Despite the really awful background, I was so chuffed to have managed this one shot out of 4 oof ones. Shame it didn't perch in a more convenient place, but you can't win 'em all
I guess it shows their natural environment.
