Kestrel

Taken at the BWC just after Xmas. As unacustomed to 'playing' with my images, I felt that this one deserved a nice b/g, V2 being the original. V3 is a cropped version (as suggested by Janet) of yesterdays upload. Thanks for viewing and for all your helpful suggestions yesterday.

What a superb pose you've captured of this kestrel Fran, an excellent shot.
I really like the work you've done in V1 also, it looks very natural.

Lovely collection Fran.Numbers 1 and 3 are the best with the blurred B/G.Number 2 the back ground is a little to busy.

Good work with the B/G on this Fran. Love the spread of the tail feathers.

Wow this is a bit special Fran, great processing work on the background and lovely detail in the Kes....love the fanned tail and the backward glance.
Big improvement for a small crop on yesterday's upload in #3.

Great shot Fran, love the pose and excellent work with the replacement background. But for the kestrel itself, I think I personally prefer the more subtle colours of #2 and the deeper blacks

You really have done some serious work on this great shot Fran. One of the aspects that attracts me so much to the Kestrel is the exquisite plumage pattern and you have it about perfect here. Just a tad soft on the focus perhaps but still an excellent image.
