Leaf hoppers may go unnoticed by many of us as they are so tiny, 1 cm or less, and live in long grasses. They hop about like grasshoppers, but bury themselves deep in the grass if they think they are under threat, so not easy to capture at all!!
I took this after being inspired by a good friend of mine a couple of years ago, and it has taken me all this time to get a successful, in focus shot!
I had to clean the background up a lot, because there were a lot of unwanted grasses acting as a distraction.
A small crop as well, to bring out the detail.
