This is home. On Vancouver Island and many of the summer tourists have left now. Leaving the locals, me, to a wonderful peaceful place. It's lovely in the summer but can be wild and furious in the winter.

"Don't you think beaches, and coastal landscapes look so much more appealing without people?"

"I certainly do"....

I'm sure you're glad to be back home again, Sandy, and it's good to see that wonderful coastline you have again. Carol

A beautiful place Sandy and I shall, hopefully, be one of those pesky tourists next year.

Reminds me of Joline's picture of her lake. Pictures we take of places that we know intimately are different somehow. There's no need to prove anything, it's about companionship and love.

A beautiful place, I wonder if the waves reach that beautiful house when it gets furious and wild.

What a wonderful spot you get to call "Home". Though nothing quite as dramatic, we well know what a difference the time of year can make. Visitors stand here and exclaim upon the quiet and the beauty but it's noticeable they never appear come the depths of a wild winter - well, perhaps no surprise as they'd require a helicopter!!

I can just imagine this steep beach with waves pounding on it. Marvellous place to live Sandy, lucky lady.
