...Buachaille Etive Mor in it's winter cloak, a burst of sunlight touching the tip, the blue tunnel of Glen Etive to the left.
Those reeds really did position themselves nicely for you...

Great light on the peak which really shows off the tooth like crags. I always think snow makes the hills look much higher than they usually do.
The most majestic of all our peaks, here looking at its best thanks to your visual interpretation . . .
Gorgeous image Dougie; I love the way the mountains and the clouds seem to merge into each other; majestic!
Thanks for your wonderful comments
Like the patch of light on the peak Dougie, good comp and it certainly has a cold feel too
You have been out braving the conditions on the Moor again, Dougie: there's to be even heavier deposits on the Moor and these mountains again today.
As others have mentioned the sun catching on the summit is perfect in this otherwise shaded winter scene.
Lovely scene Dougie. Ann.
The light on the top brings out the chilly detail - a gorgeous scene Dougie with touches of brightness in the sky and on the frozen land.
A stunning scene Dougie. Love the bit of light on the mountain top and the sky is wonderful. It is truly like being there and feeling the elements........Sandy
Many Thanks Sandy, I didn't expect any awards on this one I was quite disappointed in my images.
Such a grand place in which you walk and live Dougie, this is a fabulous shot and simply beautiful
Many Thanks to you too Ann, as I said to Sandy I didn't expect any awards on this.
A winter cloak sounds the perfect garment for this stunning wintery landscape Dougie.
The central clump of grasses is so important here Dougie but you knew that otherwise you would not have included them. An image so full of interest.
Really is an landscape full of interest Dougie
and a beautifully captured one too
Beautifully coated with snow and some lovely blue sky as well. What a beautiful place this is all year round - as your shots show us. Moira
Such an inviting place to explore, Dougie, yet not so much of a friend if the weather is against you and you do not know the area like the back of your hand. A peak and scene that makes one realise how small man is, in all respects compared to the might of nature.
by gum it looks a bit cold dougie belting comp wonderful snowy detail a real belter nice one
Gorgeous shot Dougie !!!.....but it sure looks cold ??????
So lovely with the variation of white and blue tones
Lovely snow capture, great distance!
Fabulous in winter clothing Dougie... your composition works so well
Looks cold ! Fabulous to se. GIll
Hope you didn't have to hang around in the cold too long (as I suspect you might have) to capture this magnificent scene Dougie!
Oh, this looks quite cold! Beautiful ..... I've never seen it that way. Amazing.
