In down-town Konya there's a small square adjacent to a mosque, Kapı Camii, where you can see a small open market is being held for the collectors and buyers of rosaries, worry beads and all kind of prayer beads. Those who are interested visit the place everyday to buy, sell or chat about those particular objects sitting on low stools and drinking tea and basking in the sun. A nice place for candid shots, if you can manage not to disturb or annoy them somehow.
Cropped and converted.

Thank you folks for the votes and comments on my yesterday's upload! They are much appreciated.

This is such a richly textured B&W. Your conversion to mono is excellent. I really like the shot here -- perfectly cropped and composed.
The narrative is FASCINATING -- especially to someone who attended grammar school at Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic School in Buffalo, New York.

I like the fact that we cannot see the objects of their attention (apart from that guy's mobile phone, the modern equivalent of a rosary or worry beads... Wink )
A very male congregation...

It is rare indeed to see such intense audience concentration on a serious subject, something I have only observed once I believe (around a chess game in the square outside some flats in Leningrad). An excellent capture, as Walter says.

A close up of characters and the 'eyes down' posture of almost all the group link them together so well.
