The Japanese Anenome in the garden have been beautiful this year and I couldn't resist getting out there and photographing them last weekend. I begain trying to capture all the insects busy collecting pollen and got a few nice ones of them. Still it was this bloom so nearly gone that caught my eye.

Many thanks for looking,

Jude

Reminds me of a peg dolly. Lovely capture against the dark, Jude.

It looks so different without all it's leaves.
We have quite a few of these blooming in our garden.
Nice take on a flower nearly gone!
