Windowsill and shutters in Saint Maximin la Sainte Baume, Provence.
38mm, 1/1000th sec. @ f6.3, ISO 200.
Good light and textures Bill.
Well composed Bill. It would have just been so easy to photograph it square and full on.The light has brought out the detail in the concrete.
Terrific use of colour, shapes and textures Bill, love the green.
super light and colour...well seen Bill
"They don't make concrete in France like they do here Mother"...
Love that colour green goes well with the concrete.
Another good composition
Another good color block candidate.
crisp clear image Bill, well composed
love the colour combinations here - it's so clear as well!
texture, color, lines-- well done ! Jennnnnnn
One of the more unusual places I have seen my rust Bill.
Like the comp'.Good colour and texture too.
The work of a very blind, irate woodpecker perhaps ??
Great texture light and color Bill, Lol micks comments
VERY nice comp' AGAIN Bill. And what a nicely painted door, your own work maybe?
the shutters look new in comparison to the conrete sill. I think the composition excellent Bill
Another of your great shots making us take a fresh look at everyday objects.
Nice irony with the title, and the exposed rusty bar is certainly the first thing that struck me about the shot. Luckily I'd guess that it's the mantle above the window that needs the added strength, so I hope that was in a better state.
Wonderful contrasting colours here Bill.
Like how you got your little bit of rust in the shot....
My uncle had a shed this colour , took me back down memory lane , i loved to open the door lots of great junk
Doug needed a hour to get all back in again
Super colours and textures an very well composed.
A good example of the damage caused to concrete by the expansion of the corrosion of the iron bars, once used as reinforcing, This is now a big, and expensive, problem that is being addressed by monument conservationists of ancient buildings, etc, in the UK. Nice shot.
Just proves how importment reinforcements are!
Excellent colour and textures in this fine study
in time honoured crumbly French style
