The Millennium Bridge In Newcastle. This is a Pedestrian Bridge transporting People across the River Tyne from Newcastle To Gateshead.
It is raised to allow the passage off ships

Every day at 12 noon the bridge is raised to test its workability. Obviously no public are allowed on the bridge at that time.

Must be difficult for people to walk at this angle, but maybe some can manage without a lot of difficulty? WinkWinkWink

I've not seen the Bridge and the Baltic juxtaposed like this before. You've given us an excellent and different view of these two popular subjects.

I have not been back to the North East since suffering from my second Bleed to the Brain. However as i a steadily improving, a visit is certainly something to consider. I am certainly missing out on so many gorgeous photographic opportunities.

I do believe there are some people in Newcastle Danny,
who would not complain if this bridge was not working,
as an excuse to avoid going into Gateshead !!
Good workability in this image here.
Mick.
