I've visited this location many times with this image in mind and have never seen anyone sitting on the bench. Finally somone was sat there, and a distinguished gentleman at that....

I had a 3000 D700/24-70 in the bag, but ended up using the 300 e-pl3/14mm as it's far quieter and more subtle. He only noticed me after about 15 frames....

Definitely loving the micro 4/3s....

"Now, now, Dan bragging about one's equipment is so un PC?" Now back to the image, a rather strong composition, which may be a parody for so many of life's little moments of thought. So beautiful composed, and clearly thought through. Strong bold lines, which immediately directs you to the seated gentleman patiently waiting in this somewhat concrete fortress. The monochrome processing fits the scene so perfectly well, and certainly enhances the strong light coming through the window, which in turn shrouds the seated gentleman, who may or may not see this as rather comforting in this alien environment. In all Dan, a rather fine piece of photography, which deserves many an accolade being bestowed upon it. A fine piece indeed.

I can't agree more Nathan. I shall congratulate the photographer for his persistence visiting the location, patience consists a part of photography.

Cheers. I don't normally go on about equipment! I only mentioned it as I've read in several forums over the last couple of days people saying they need an expensive full frame camera I order to get decent images. This image could only have been shot with the 'cheaper' camera - the guy would have heard / seen me after one shot on a Big DSLR. And this definitely wasn't the first frame. Micro 4/3's has certainly opened up new opportunities...

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated.
