London Blitz wide receiver Clive Palumbo heads for the endzone during the team's 23-7 victory over Danish team, Sollerod Gold Diggers, in the EFAF European Cup semi-final at Finsbury Park in North London. The Blitz now await EFAF's decision on whether the final will be held in London, or at the home of the opposition in the final, Serbian team Kragujevac Wild Boars.
The Blitz are an entirely self-funded amateur team (the players 'pay to play') who rely on developing British players, rather than 'importing' players from the USA and Canada. This is their second time playing in European competition and their first trip to the final, after being defeated in the semi-final last season.
I can't describe just how proud I am of this team and what it has achieved. They are currently back-to-back British Champions and are undefeated in domestic competition in over two years.
