Following the Romanian tradition - any house should be protected against the demon, ghostly, vampires or any other bad spirit. The garlic and onion, bounded in this way, should be hanged under the house roof. This photo has been taken in a Romanian restaurant in London.

I picked my garlic yesterday .. hope I can get it looking as good as these do. how neat they have been tied
and they will hang outside ...
A pretty impressive crop of bulbs and well captured. I guess you can have your stake and eat it in this restaurant.
