This alien creature landed on my terrace on 30th, July, 2008, and seemingly enjoyed my taking about 25 pictures of it immensely. I hope you will like him/her just as well as I did. I have now been told by a member of this community that this creature is likely to be classifiable as a lacewing. This might solve the mystery.

Crike!! what on earth ( if it is an earth creature ) is that. Graet detail.
Dear Imander:
Thanks a lot for your comment. I think it is a species of dragonfly but I am not an expert.
Have a great Sunday!
Daniel
Thanks very much, Crashingocean! I will upload several more macros in the coming days, and I hope those will be no less interesting.
Daniel

Dear Lesgoodey:
I have no idea exactly what this creature is called but it paid a visit to me on 30th, July, 2008. I live in Budapest, Hungary, on the hilly side of the city, and this creature landed on the vertical matrac of the swinging bed on my large terrace around 10 p.m. in the evening. It stayed for about 15 minutes, during which there was a spell of about 2 minutes when it rested at the same place. That allowed me to take about 25 shots with flash. 5 or 6 of these are sharp and useful, I cropped the current picture from one of these. I am extremeky glad about all the positive comments I am receiving, and will upload further macros in the coming days and weeks, which will hopefully be received with the same degree of interest and enthusiasm.
Kind regards:
Daniel
Thanks very much for your compliments, Robert, and for identifying this creature for me!
Daniel
