This is part of my 'Shoot the Granny' project where I choose one crazy idea from one someone each month. The subject can be anything and since this is the first month I chose Roxpix's idea because 'Granny strikes back' seemed appropriate for the first month. I've got a video on how I did it on my website.

I like the finish you’ve applied to the overall image, I think the edge of the light/shadow is a little harsh for my taste but this may have been what you were aiming for

Thanks Alan, I appreciated the idea. Yes, I was trying to make the whole thing look harsh and uncomfortable to look at which is why the vignette is a lot stronger than usual. It was also to hide the flowers which I wanted to show, but not be too visible. With hindsight I should have brought round some horrible dead flowers to put in the vase. Not sure she would have been impressed though!
