Digital Art

After a little more inspiration I came up with this image using layers and adjustments. Needs to be refined a little more with the addition of maybe a star field to give an outer space look.

Digital art

Decided to have a go using the zoom blur filter in PS with an image of a dandelion I took with the old Canon 10D. Ended up with this eye catching result. Going to have a bit more dabble with this and see what I can come up with...... Don't blink to often when looking at the image !!!

Digital Art

Dug this one from the hard drive I hid there many moons ago....... ok it was forgotten about, until now!. Another one of my silly interpretations. I named this one "Take Cover", surely the brollies deserve a bit of a break.

Digital Art.

Not a lot of inspiration just lately, the grey matter has had a rest and is back on track. Took a pic of a footpath on Monday and finally got to process it yesterday. Here's a couple of ideas I came up with.

Digital Art

After seeing Peters (bonvilston) uploads of his work with Apophysis I decided to download the new version and had a go at this myself. Not everybodys thing but it certainly appeals to me and passes away the time. Before getting stuck into Apophysis, I had another go at blending two old ima...

Watch Parts

Another idea I had today with a different composition.... Looks like a fountain this time. If I get any other rush to the brain, it'll be put into practice. I don't think there can be many more permutations ...... watch (pardon the pun) this space.

Success

After yesterdays attempt at the pocket watch and parts I decided to have another go this morning and came up with this after a little more thought about composition. Used the can opener tool on the knife as a lead in to the spare parts .... seems to have worked.

Stir Crazy

Looks like the weather has turned again, hosing it down up here in Geordieland. Stuck indoors wondering what to do and came up with this idea I've had for a while. Took delivery last week of a bag full of watch parts I ordered from ebay so decided to have a go today whilst imprisoned. Taken in nat...

Frozen Feet

After the fishmongers advice to leave, I took up position out of sight and here's another shot I took which seemed to be worth processing.. I learned a few lessons today, not only of human nature but of camera settings and the different effects they can produce. The beauty of using a lens with an o...

A bad day at the office

Went to the Tuesday market here in Ashington to try my hand at street photography and oh dear me what an experience this turned out to be. As the traders were setting up stalls I wandered over to a fishmonger and asked if it was ok to take a few snaps ..... the answer was somewhat graphic ...... I ...

A plan

Well, looks like the weather has taken a turn for the better. Tomorrow is market day in Ashington, may just give a try at street photography, something I've not done before. I think it'll be a case of using the 40D and 24-105 lens, the image stabiliser will play it's part I'm sure. I hope I keep on ...

Closed.

Out and about this morning with the 5D and my favourite lens, a Sigma 12-24mm. Whilst composing this shot the guy appeared from nowhere. The shutter speed was .5 sec. A pity it was so slow, a 20th of a second may have been better.

Digital Blending.

The ideas are still with me but finding suitable material to use in conjunction with the images I took yesterday is proving hard to find, I'll keep it up as long as it takes. When scouring the hard drive for material to use I came across an old work in progress PSD file of a silly blend I did a yea...

Digital Blending

No images today. Was out and about this afternoon taking images of one thing and another for an idea I have to put together a piece of digital art, I've no idea if it will work or not, only time will tell. I'll be posting a blog tomorrow with a progress report, this one is going to take some time ...

Digital Blending.

Having little inclination to brave the cold weather getting out with the camera, thought I might pass a couple of hours trying to get better with the blending. The first image consists of three layers which fitted together quite well, didn't take long at all. The second image was two exposures t...
