Awoke to the alarm at 02:30, peered out of the window to see a reasonably clear sky and decided to have a trip to Cambois beach with the idea of taking some shots of water swirling around the old posts. On arrival I studied the scene and decided to scrap the idea of swirling water after I saw the stream of runnung water cutting it's way through a sand bar.
Tried to compose a shot but just could'nt manage to balance the composition of the foreground.
I was set up around ten yards down from the high water mark so decided to hump some rocks down and place them in the wet sand which seemed to work.
Took a load of shots with the rocks in different positions after letting the stream wash away my footprints. As the sun rose above the horizon I got my eye on the light shining on the edge of the sand bar and decided to go for it then had to compose the scene again so as to illiminate the sun and the flare. Quite pleased with the result.
Large is better if you've time.
