Simple composition butthere are two areas which have completely burnt out. the sun, this is inevitable but with the use of a graduated filter could be reduced. The area of the sea at the horizon would be better with a reduced exposure to get detail there

Cant agree with mark as your viewpoint shows both gills and top of fungus. To improve the shot I would like to see all the cap in focus, but the background is just right ,nicely diffused. The point of focus should be moved this might also throw the grass around the base opf the fungus out of focus and give even more emphasis on the main subject

Technically a good shot though I agree with Malcolm it is a bit tight in the frame. If there is more in your picture try not cropping so much. Otherwise next time zoom back a bit. As an extra to your technique try panning with a slightly slower shutter speed which will blur the wings slightly but keep the birds head sharp. Best tried on continuous as in my experience very few work. But those thst do are great.
