Wonderful shot. How lucky you were to be there at the right time to capture (on photo) such a rare beautiful shy bird. Lovely colours.
Maybe a tighter crop would improve the shot and also remove the green "blob" just above and to the left of the bird's head.

Stunning shot of this lovely bird. Great capture. Wish I had taken it. It's hard to spot one in flight, let alone perched on a branch, so very well done!

I could be wrong but I guess this capture has very little to do with luck, more like hard work and patience. It's a stunning portrait of a Kingfisher and if it was me I would clone out the circles as they are distracting from an excellent shot.
