This is a White Faced Heron more commonly known as a Blue Crane, looking quite reddy brown. Taken at Jell's Park, Melbourne, Victoria, it is currently preening itself hence the twisted neck. This image just got me an acceptance in the Pakenham National Competition here in Oz.

Hope you like it

Thanks all for the positive commentsGrinGrinGrinGrin

Quote: good luck with the competition

Ju, thanks for the support, unfortunately the competition is over and 'acceptance' means that the image was good but not good enough to get a place. It does however, mean that it goes into the exhibition.

Thanks again

Dave
